Question Sir springs/suspension cut, and put on civic hB

i have a buddy that offered to give me springs off his old SIR.. but in order for him to give them to me he has to cut them. and i was wondering if i installed them on my 95 civic hatchback would it affect the car in any way? like i hear that cut springs tend to make the car jump around while driving, and maybe hitting a bump. So plz can anyone offer a suggestion, maybe if someone had done the same thing.....

don't install cut springs in your car .... can be very unsafe.
not matter how you do it ... they will never be cut evenly and will cause bad alignment which in turn causes uneven wear on your tires. being cheap always costs you in the long run

why would he have to cut them to give em to you... he can remove them, and you can mount them as-is... no problems, no cutting.

is this from an SIR coupe or the new Hatchback? if it's from the hatchback you'll have big issues because the suspension designs are different and therefore the spring rates will be way off the wall ... (grassroots motorsports had an article on doing the suspension of the new hatchback and said the springs they used had 900 lb/in ratings)

if you want springs ,.. I know this isn't the place but since we're here already, I'll probably be selling my Neuspeed race springs soon if you're interested in picking up a set of springs without having to pay new prices.
