is this a decent drop?

If anything, they might raise your car a little because an SIR is heavier then an Si. Here is some info for you. I'm looking for new springs myself for once the snow is gone.
Stock 96-00 Si - 165F/80R (P/P)
H&R Sport - 330F/280R (P/P), 1.75F/1.5R
Eibach Sportline - 310F/275R (P/P), 1.8F/1.8R
Tein S. Tech - 235F/140R, 1.9F/1.7R
