Chinese Buffet

I was reading one of the previous post about swaping tranny from auto to manual and I get the impression that when the car is auto, all you need is a manual transmission and you can just swap it? you can use back the same engine that the auto tranny was one on? Can someone please clearify that for me? Thanks

yeah, generally, if the tranny is from the same series engine then it'll bolt up fine.. to get it to work you'll need a number of other parts like the shift linkage, shifter, entire clutch system, pedals, etc.

GREAT, that's what I wanted to hear hehehe! My other question... how much does a manual tranny for a D16y6 cost? Also, what exactly are all the parts I need to do a full conversion from start to finish, please go into details down to the very wire I need to wire up the reverse light etc... Thanks!
