On side sits lower then the other
Good day everyone.
Here is my issue. I Have a 99 Sir Coupe that the driver side of the car sits lower then the passenger sit. I was told the bushings in the rear LCA's were done, so i changed them. still the same problem, I picked up a set of Omni power coilovers and adjusted them all the same hieght and installed them and the driver sit still sits about an inch lower than the passenger side. Is this a common problem or is there something wrong with other components of the suspention. Thanks in advance.

welcome to 'honda lean' ...
if you have coilovers, you can just adjust it so the car sits even...
i believe the reason for this was that the engine was mounted a little more to the left, so the front especially leans that way...
it's kinda like 'gangsta lean' but cooler...!!

Wow, I've never heard of this before...
I've got 2" drop eibach's on my 00 SiR and I'm pretty sure she sits level....never really noticed....I think I would have noticed by now....I'm usually scanning my car ground up everytime I come back to it where ever it's parked...lol
Do they all lean or just some?

Yes I Know I can adjust the coilovers to correct this but I wanted to know if this is a common issue and if there is other suspension issues that I should address as well. And if i adjus the coilovers to fix the lean will this affect the coilovers life on that side?
Thanks

call me what you want, it doesn't phase me... just thinking about driving home today makes me drool just a little... it's just that good!! lol
and i adjusted it on my civic and never had any problems with the coilovers... that's the whole point of coilovers, being able to adjust the four corners independently of each other...
I actually set it up so that it was even from L to R with me sitting in the driver's seat (i drive alone most often)... so with noone in the car it was slightly higher on the driver's side...

honda-lean is bull**** when it comes to what this guy is saying. he said his driver's side sits 1" lower.... that's more unsafe to me than anything... i had the same problem with my rear and that was because i wiped out and cracked my spring off right near the top... the only way to tell it was cracked was by taking it out.
in your case man, i don't know since you changed the suspension anyway... i assume you used the top hats that came wiith the coilovers... go to an alignment shop that does framework and see what they say... that's where i went when they figured out what was wrong with mine.

Actually guys i have the Tein SS Coilovers and i gad the exact same issue i lowered the car at the exact same height and all thread points for the rear were the same. Basically what it is the Coilovers have to settle especially if they are brand new. After about a month or so i noticed it all settled in and finally is now clean. So don't worrie about it.

because i had the same issue. when i lowered that one side lower and evened it out. eventually that one side became lower that the other. So i put it back to where it was and i left it like that but after driving for about a month or so it settled in. Thats with the Tein SS. Now its fine.
