You should be able to use the 92-95 SOHC VTEC ECU, in which its called P28. Also having your Vtec set low can hurt performace, as its been said so many times.....Honda put vtec at there points for a reason, or else why wouldnt everyone want more power all the time.

^^sorry...either get a apexi VAFC or get the right ecu....it's a good old defcon hack job isn't that where you got the swap...from now on your money is spent on the right ecu or a vafc

a P08 is what came with the JDM D15B... however a P28 will run the engine and be cheaper as well

With a chipped ECU...all you have to do is plug and play. But with the VAFC or SAFC you are gonna have alot of wiring. If you know what your doing the job should prolly take acouple hours. If you dont know what is what. It can take you days and even then you still may have problems.

also, you guys gotta understand dingus' style... he doesn't mean to do you wrong, it's just how he talks.

I'm the same way, I can be abrasive, but it's not cuz I don't like you... I just amuse myself in that way, that's all peace on middle earth haha

I'll hafta remember that. didn't mean to get upset at anyone, anyhow getting the ecu replaced with the proper one will i assume give me better performance?? i wanna increase my redline more then anything. im reving out at 6800 RPM and thats where im suppose to be getting my peak horsepower, so it would i guess make sense to be able to goto the engines correct redline which is 7200RPM. shud i be able to just plug it in and go??? Im gonna hafta rewire the vtec as its hooked up to a switch, or can i just leave it?? Will hiperducktuning be able to help me with this?? what kinda money can i expect to spend?? thanks and sorry for the questions, i jus wanna hafta buy what im gonna buy once. thanks

IF you increase your redline, you'll increase your rev limit as well which means BOOM! You blew your engine.
I'd leave it alone, unless you plan on building the internals to be able to take the higher revs.
Besides if you are careful u can feel that power drops at about 6500rpm (atleast it does in my CRX and ppl with other rexes have commented on similar things.
Just get the right ECU and you should be fine.

what dingus said was hilarious!!! LOL

so thats fine i'll make plans to get the right ecu (P28/P08) i don't wanna increase my redliine i want to bring it up to factory spec for that motor, which is 7200 RPM. I assume a P08/P28 will let m do that. thanks for the help. now with the vtec hooked up to a switch can i just plug in these ecu's or do i need a wire harness etc, etc. who can i trust for this?? is hiperducktuning only a internet sales business or is there somewhere i can go?? thanks
