short shifter
#2
Ummm....the Type R, do you mean like a short shifter named Type R or do you mean Honda Type R OEM shifter? If you can find an OEM one, YES! get it, but otherwise...I have the B&M Edge...Hurst is good too...no one else I can really think of.

Hahaha... no...that's the Type R brand... negative, don't get it. Look for a good deal on a B&M Edge, I really like mine. Or a stock GS-R one from thepartstrader.com Get a urethane bushing for more stable shifts and more positive feedback from the tranny.

just get a short shifter that won't snap on you, and it won't interfere with your exhaust b-pipe
quality range from the C's short shifter (priced nicely at $300 USD ) to the Type R branded shifters you find on eBay.
somewhere inbetween would obviously be a good choice
But like bbarbulo said, B&M makes good SS, Skunk2 makes good SS, and Neuspeed also. Unfortunately I've heard from numerous people that Solo shifters snap
