Shock/Spring Set up

Well I've decided to do up my suspension. I'm very excited but I need some opinions on which springs to get. I will be getting KONI yellows (adjustable) and I was thinking of Eibach sportlines. The problem is that I want a more noticeable drop(i.e. more than 1.8"). Any ideas?? Ride comfort is a must as my car is a daily driver.

I'm going to be doing my suspension as well. Since money's kinda tight I'm trying to make as informed a decision as possible. I'm still new to this car scene though. Anybody know where I can get good tech info on the jobs of the springs and shocks and different aftermarket specs?

Hey Evan right? We met at the meet, welcome to the club man.

About your question, manufacturer's websites are good place to start in terms of looking for specs on diffrent springs/shocks... then it's just a matter of asking people who have similar setups... get a feel for what setup suits you... and buy accordingly.

Yup it's Evan. Thanks for the tip. I'm gonna check that for finding specs on the springs but I'm not good enough to tell if the problem is with springs and shocks. I'm looking for info more like how do you know the bumpy ride you got is cause the springs need to go or the shocks or both?

Well OEM springs very rarely ever go, but shocks on the other hand if they're blown... you'll be banging your head against the ceiling everytime you go over a bump, it's pretty hard to miss.

We'll see about the rims...after I get my rims I may feel a little generous (not as picky about the weight).

With the GB on the Koni Yellow's...how much would they charge to install them there?

I don't really know the price of installation but I'm sure if a couple of us go down to Speedtech (on Midland and Finch, a TCC affiliate) we should get a good price. I doubt that it'll be expensive. Prolly $150 or less. We'll have to talk to Rich a.k.a. WNT_2_GO_FAST.

Ask Rich to talk with RT MotorSport, Rick is the best with suspension work.. you could also try KSR but I'm sure he's busy with swaps and engine buildups ...
