Shifting problem

96' EK Coupe.
I've been having a problem with my EK shifting.
I replaced the master clutch cylinder and the slave to no avail.
There appears to be no air in the lines. I bleed it properly.
The master is max out for adjustment.
If the car is on and the clutch is in, I can't shift.
If the car is off and I shift, it shifts fine.

Could it be the clutch or possibly still some air trapped in the lines?

Thanks,
-Dom

bleed it again, and again and again... this time use a vacuum pump to suck fluid out.

if that doesn't fix it, I'm pretty sure you're gonna be dropping the tranny for inspection.

From inside the car if you look at the clutch pedal, where the arm goes in the clutch master, you see the rod and it has thread on it. you can loosen the locking nut and adjust it like that. To grab closer or further from the floor....

If I put it in first and start the car starts to move forward...

Well if everything is adjusted properly and bled and everything was working fine...

I'll assume you shift hard then because you probaly have ripped the springs out of the disk...just a guess though.

Try giving it a bit of gas when you start it and it will release.

my tranny knowledge was lacking, so I just did a lil reading on trannies. one of my friends is having a similar problem (his clutch fails to disengage)... the way it all works is there is the release bearing, some springs, actuator linkage, clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel. the springs are responsible for making the clutch disengage... what I think you're seeing is a failure of the release fork spring, or something similar. basically, you have to remove the tranny no matter what.
