Ok here's the scenario, my shifter just started to pop out of gear today...its happening in 2nd and 3rd but mainly in 2nd. Any ideas???

Some additional info:

I have a solo short shifter and its been in there for 4 years no problems. Energy Suspension Shifter Stabilizer Kit recently installed a couple of months ago and tranny fluid replaced last summer.

the forks are starting to give.

soon you're start losing gears and then after a bit you'll lose the entire tranny.

I had the same thing happen to me, first, 4th would pop, few weeks it stopped working, 1-2-3 were hard to get into but still worked.

I had the ***** to drive to wasaga from mississauga like this (with only 1-2-3-5). made it there and back but on the way back my buddy has to plant his foot on the shifter to keep it from popping out of 5th.

when we got off the highway at home that was the end of fifth gear (and reverse)

few days later the tranny blew up at sq1 (man it pissed a lot of poeple off, broke down right at an intersection)

anyway, swapped in a new one, took a look at a the old one and the forks were in a billion pieces.

the gear lube was more like metal oatmeal.
