what should a b16a1 be at? (16*?) and what does the mark on the engine look like.. I see the ones on the pully.. my car is set at 18 right now if im looking at the right mark is that advance or retarted?

the mark on the timing belt cover is like a triangle shaped line thats about 2" or so long.
The mark you wanna line it up (to be at 16 degrees BTDC) is the middle mark of the 3 close together ones on the crank pulley.

It should be at 16 degrees.. If yours is set at 18 then its advanced. Also with the don't forget to stick a jumper on the two prong service wire by your ECU to set the timing correctly.
