Holy FACK ppl!!!

I check my post after one day and I've gotten smashed by everyone.....

I love it how so many jump to conlusions and put words in my mouth, and assume what I'm thinking....nice...

No, I don't want itb's just to say i have itb's, nor do i want them to necessarily make more power, because I have talked to ppl and have done alot of research about it. You do not need a seasonal tune with itb's if it's done right. I chose to go itb for throttle response and more midrange response. You guys don't know what cams i'm planning on running, which some of you seemed to think you do know...I don't want to rev my car just for the sake of revving it (as I have already stated but some of you didn't see that either i guess). If the cams i choose require the engine to rev a little higher to make the power i want, then I wanted to know how high the stock bottom end would handle....thats all.

So guys, don't assume you know what someone is going to do and what they are thinking and why. If i hadn't said anything about itb's this thread would have gone on normally....so forget I mentioned it.....it's like "itb" is a swear word on here...holy crap! Don't be so scared of them....lol...

I wanted to know what rpm the stock bottom end of a b16 could handle...I got my answer.

Thanks.

i think the problem will not be with reving to compensate for "bigger cams" on a b16, its all about getting enough compression. 10.5-11.0:1 i just dont think is enough and it will run doggish....plus the benifit from running "bigger cams" on a b16 is hugley out wighed by the lack of bottom end, by the time the b16 with "bigger cams" hits its 2000rpm power band at 7500 rpm the guy next to you is too far ahead to be caught...as for itb's...the are not going to help your cause if that is indeed what you are planning.

i think the debate about camming a b16 is a good one and i think we will leave this thead....OPEN!!!
