"sand" sound
hi,
i just installed the agx on my 00 civic.
i set both front and back to the center setting. i tried going corner (about 87 degree) just turning on traffic light @ aprox 45-50 km/h, and at the front there was this sound like "sand". i wasn't sure whether the front spoiler scraping the ground or it was something wrong with the shocks.
anyone got any idea?
thanks
EDIT
i was turning left, and the sound comes from the right-side front.
and btw, i'm using brand new tein s tech which is about 1 finger gap front.

at the front it has 4 setting max and i put to 2. do you think it's good idea to up the notch? i mean like in terms of the shocks life?
i'll post a pic as soon as i get my digi ready.

tire touch liner....if you stiffen it up it will happen a little less, but if you take a turn at a high enough speed, even 40km/h where there will be excessive body roll then you're gonna touch still

Stiffening the struts will probably have no bearing.
Struts control rebound.
The issue is your tire is rubbing against your fender liner.
So it maybe that you need an alignment, your ride height is too low, or your tires are too wide.

i'm running oem 15 rims with potenza RE10 tire (P205/50R15).
so i guess with stiffen shocks, still will touch ey?
so would the alignment help then? i mean i'll do it if that helps, but i'm not sure how that's going to help the problem though.
EDIT
btw, as i said before the front height is 1 finger gap, and sometimes (most of the time), the bottom scrapes when going to underground parking or something like that.
so it seems that the spring is short but too soft that it de-compresses a lot. would stiffen up the shocks make it to de-compresses less?

I think what JookSingKid said is correct. Tein springs have very soft rates and are pretty low, so when you corner the tires rub the liners. My car does the same thing sometimes with H&R Sports and 205 tires. 205 is wider then stock and the springs are alot lower. I've just learned to get used to it because it doesn't happen that often.

thx DumbasSi, and thx people.
i think yea that's the problem. i can live with that i guess.
but now, the other thing is, i'm not really sure how the effect of the shocks being stiffen up or loosen up. like for say, now for the rear part, when i go mid-rough road, it's not so much of the car being bouncing up and down but it's more of the wheel bounches up and down and keep hitting the fender. does that mean it's too hard or too soft?
