I have a similar gauge, but i used the induction clamp instead of cutting the wire.

here is a pic of my dizzy. i was told the blue wire near the lower left is correct - but the blue-yellow appears to be the other one on the right.

Also, when you have it installed, some gauges require a setting to decide what type of motor you have (4, 6, 8cyl or using the clamp)

Some tachs (rpm gauge) have a switch on the back that you can select 4, 6, or 8 cylinder engines.

Also, the induction clamp is just a small clamp that clamps to the wire without cutting it and it picks up on the pulse through a magnet in the clamp. (or something like that).

Hope that helps

The right wire may not be the one they say in the instructions and the colour may not match.

You'll have to use process of elimination....keep trying each wire untill you find the right one.

The induction clamp is just clamps onto the wire and picks up the pulse.....you may be able to get one from canadian tire....
