Rotors question
Is the 1999-2000 Civic Si front and rear rotors the same size as then 1999-2000 Sir?
I'm gonna say yes. There are two "standard" brake size offerings from Honda, the 9.4 inch found on the CX, LX, DX, SE models, and the 10.2 inch found on the EX, SI, SIR, Integras and some Del Sols.
the difference is the CDN Si (EX in the states) had rear drums, while the SiR (Si in the states) had rear rotors. |
oh and I'm not sure but the caliper pistons on the SiR should be bigger.
the only bigger rotors are from an itr, i belive the info above is right give honda a call and see if the part numbers are the same
Lol ok well im in need of some rotors and pads so what should i be asking or looking for?? 10.2' for front and back or 10.2 front and 9.4 back? also with the pads are SI and Sir pad the same size?
well do you have an si? or an sir?
well i have a Si but the onwer before me said he did a SIR conversion for all 4 so i dunno..how can you tell if its Si or Sir?
96-00si, sir, 1.6El all have the 10" rotors, and calipars, booster, master are the same. If you really want to make sure just take a tire down and measure the disk. Its either gonna be the 9inch or the 10inch
dude, 10.2 inch front, and rear disk, all rear disks are the same on 4 bolt cars.
ya~ you can tell the difference between the DISK and DRUM very easily
so CHECK the rear see if you have a dick or drum. SIR suspension can sometimes means the shock and spring only. |
oops. should be DISK no dick, my bad
lol i have 4 disk no drums so 10.2 it is and 9.4 rear thanks guys
