Better for what? Looks, performance, longevity? Unless you track your car, OEM rotors are good enough for most people. Cross drilled rotors can warp easily and slotted wear out pads faster.

dotn get slotted or drilled, no difference really except the brake pads will jsut die out faster and you wont really notice too much of an increase in brakgin performance. oem rotors or even some similar aftermarket rotors would do the job.

stay away from the cheap ones at canadian tire...they are cheap (like $20) but they warp insanely fast (4-6 months)

I track my car and I use Blank rotors, most racers I've seen choose blank rotors for their cheap price and quality. Plus Slotted/Drilled rotors are weaker than blank rotor, and they rust in the winter.
I use some rotor from Enroble(sp?), they are made in China, $21 dollars a piece.

I'm using inroble sport rotors (cross drilled and slotted) they didnt rust over winter, they arent warped and they do stop better than the blanks more resisitence to brake fade...I'm using some PBR ULX Ceraminc performance pads and I'm more than satisfied with them...and plus, the price was more than right!

Im hearing alot of misconeptions in here about slotted and cross drilled rotors, I doubt alot of you have even ever run them on your cars so dont be going by stuff you have read in magazines, or seen on the internet. Slotted rotors or cross drilled rotors actually warp alot less due to there ability to keep the rotor at a lower temperature and they also vent the gases created under heavy braking which helps reduce break fade. I run power slot rotors on my car and EBC green stuff brake pads and the rotors did not rust in the winter, the rotors have not warped. and the pads and rotors are wearing excellently even after the constant abuse and heat cycling. I can tell you this much from my own personal experience: before I ran my current brake setup on my car I went through 3 sets of decent standard style aftermarket rotors and pads in less then a year and a half, the rotors kept warping badly and the pads were getting chewed up and wearing out prematurely. Also if you know EF's then you will know that the factory style rotors in the front normally go in and out of warp when the car is pushed a little harder then normal on a weekly basis, once I installed the EBC pads and Power slot rotors and did the heat cycling to wear them in properly I have had no problems with warping since then and the majority of the brake fade is gone.

I had EBC X drilled all around on my talon as well as EBC green stuff.

They warped after.... 3 months.

I'd recommend brembo blank rotors. Some friends have them on their cars and have had nothing but great things to say about the performance and durability.

If you really want to upgrade your brakes, some cross drilled and slotted rotors may be good. It was the cheaper brands I was refering to. Brembo Blanks are what alot of people use for street and track. Combine those with a high quality pad like Hawk, Axxis, PBR, etc. and you'll have a nice set up. My OEM pads and rotors are 8 years old, so based on my experiences, Honda is good enough for me.

I agree with you on OEM. I've been using Honda rotors and pads. They work good and have lasted a while w/o problems.

i had EBC green stuff pads and KVR cross drilled rotors. warped after 3 to 4 months. those pads were also really bad for brake dust too. don't believe what these aftermarket crap companies advertise sometimes.

i'm back to OEM pads and rotors now.

if you want to improve braking just buy a big brake kit

Just the fact that the the honda pads lasted 8 years would be reason enough for me not to run them, I would rather have a softer pad that may not last as long but have much better braking then those hard *** compound pads from the dealer. OEM brakes arent exactly designed to be the best for stopping, they are meant to last along time. When it comes to my car I dont skimp when it comes to safety items such a brakes and tires even if it does cost more and they dont last as long. And another thing it doesnt really matter what OEM or aftermarket brakes you run, if you dont wear them in properly or dont brake properly you can warp just about any rotor. And one more thing, the longer your pads last = the harder the compound, therefore they will wear through rotors faster.

i have drilled/slotted rotors.. been running them since february and no problems.. there is a little rust on the rears but nothing i'm too concerned about yet.. I have heard of drilled rotors cracking from the first hole out to the edge of the rotor under high pressure.. probably more or less if you track your car though.

all you guys using ceramic pads, remember, ceramic is an insulator, so if you park the car with hot brakes it'll warp the rotors more easily. many who have used EBC green stuff will attest to this.

I had Cross Drilled's for year's and not a Problem...And that was on a Minivan!!!!!! People warping Rotor's is usually from them not breaking them in properly. Yoru supposed to be easy on them and increase pressure gradually for the First 500km/h and at all cost's don't sit still with your brake's engaged when there hot(ie,stoplight). I had Carbon Fibre pad's and Cross drilled's and there was no Problem. My buddy also had KVR cross-drilled's on his Jetta and they were faultless for Years. I can't really comment on Slotted Rotor's since I personally have no experience with them. From what Ive heard is they stop increadibly well but Wear your pad's faster. Great for track use since they get a clean bite everytime. Id recomend Cross drilled's for anyone who wants a cost effective brake upgrade. Cross-Drilled's,performance pad's and Stainless Brake line's is almost overkill and More than enough for a Fast Street car. Pretty much as good as your going to get before getting a Big Brake kit.

Thanks alot guys you've beem alot of help I'll just hold off for now with the rotors than cause mine aren't as bad as I thought and if the cross drilled and slotted ones aren't much of an upgrade I guess I'll just stick with the ones I have for now...
THANKS
