RIm/tire size question

I am lowered approximately 2.0" on my EK. Right now with this drop I have a 2 finger gap , im running on 185/65/r14 tires(steelies) . I want to keep this gap between the tires but I want to switch to 15" rims in the spring, what tire should i choose to preserve the approximate gap? by tire number i mean

---/--/r-- ?

thanks

195/55/15 or 205/50/15 they are the exact same size as 185/65/14 that are stock. I have 205/50/15 Azenis on my EK.

rim size has nothing to do with fitment... well very little anyways since you are putting tires overtop of them. So the final wheel/tire diameter is what matters, not the size of the rim. The only thing about the rim that matters is the offset, which can be from 38 mm to 42 mm. Ultimately it's the size of the tire that decides whether it rubs or not. I used to roll on 17s w/o problems really... 16s can fit no problem.

i had 205/45/16's that rubbed (3 inch drop)
I then went to 205/40/16's which do not rub....they tuck nicely!!
i know the smaller tire is supposed to mess up the speed, but i havent really noticed...i only drive about 5 - 7 KM's /year!
