reving wont go away

ok so i have this reving problem, from 1 to 2 grand up and down at an idiol, park, neutral. Now i changed the idiol air control(used part), changed the map sensor(used part), checked for leaks, checked the cable tension...........i'm thinking right now it might be the intake mani gasket even tho we checked BUT the thing that throws me off is that some times its fine and doesnt rev, then a few stops later and shes going again...idiol stays at 1.5 when not reving up and down

drain coolant disconnect everything pull valve cover etc etc, definatly get a manual to get the bolt removal and torque pattern so you don't warp the head. Why do you think your head gasket is gone? Arent' you running the wrong ecu etc...?

ecu was chipped to a p28, so its good.....i have the right distributor now, so its good....only thing to do now is swap in the new tranny, fix this reving and there is oil leaking from somewhere, its coming out somewhere and burning on my tranny smells awsome and people say my car smells like cigerettes when they follow me

Try adjusting the idle screw on the T-Body, on my car I had the identical problem and it was that the IAC and the T-Body were fighting for lack of a better term, however one quick tweak fixed that.
