Reverse Light Sensor???
I havent been around in a while, hope you guys can help. I did a swap on 95, auto to manual... still with a d16z6. Ive been googleing the hell out of this question but still cant find the answer. Where the hell is the reverse sensor on the manual transmission. All that i can find is that i need to connect the reverse wires from the auto transmission, which are at the shifter harness, to the reverse sensor on the manual transmission. I havent been able to find any pics, or diagrams on the web.. and ive been searching my engine bay for anything resembling what ive read. Im Going to have some time on a lift this weekend, so if anyone knows where this sensor is, id greatly appreciate its location, and any tips for running the wires if anyone has done this before.

I did this on my 94 civic when I had an auto < manual swap done as well.
I just ran a 2 wire 16 awg to the engine bay and hooked into the OEM harness on top of the tranny. It should be near the front close to the engine. It has a little black boot on it if I recall, and a 2 wire plug coming out the end of it.
Just run the 2 wires into the harness, and inside the car run them to the gear selector that was left in the car when the swap was done. If you look at the little unit you will see the 2 wires that are used to run the reverse lights when its in the R gear, just cut them off and solder them to the new wire running to the tranny, so now when the tranny is in reverse it will complete the circuit and come on.

the reverse light sensor is on the front/bottom of the tranny. I think that you might be looking at the vehicle speed sensor.

In the first picture its the plug to the right of the circle labelled A. Follow the wires down towards the slave cylinder and that will show you were the reverse light sensor is.
