resonator question? Help

Just wondering....how much noise does it cut down really? I don't have a resonator right now....just the cat and muffler. I was wondering if I got a resonator if it would cut the noise down by 10% or so. Please let me know if it's worth it or I'm just wasting my money!!!! Much help is appreciated.
thanks,
ben

Ever listened to the sound of a custom exhaust? VERY LOUD!

The resonator for the OEM exhaust is built into the midpipe.

I have one and think they are essential in having a well performing, sporty, subtle exhaust system. It may not be the best use of your funds if you are on a tight budget cause other than noise reduction, there aren't to many other benefits to be noted.

Yes indeed....I just wanted to reduce the noise....man my exhaust is loud even with the silencer on...I think I'll get one put on.
thanks for all your replies.

Most cars that I have heard without resonators seem to have that classic annoying farting sound. A resonator will likely improve the type of sound your exhaust makes and also make it sound a little quieter as well.

One more thing....does it afect your performance at all if you have a resonator?
I appreciate everyone's input, Thanks,

I don't think that the resonator would make much difference in terms of performance.
