I know this should be the easiest part of doing a drum brake replacement, but I somehow remove the u-clip on one side which was fine.. but I can't remove the u clip on the other side. You know the u shaped piece that holds in the arm of the star adjuster. Can anyone suggest how I can get this damn thing off!

ya I had a bitch tiem with mine too....screw driver and hammer is what I used...pry adn hammer

Yup that worked for me... eventually warped it a bit so I could use some pliers to get under them and give it a good pull, then bent it back into shape to re-intall it.

get vise grips, hold the ebrake arm steady. Use a standard screwdrive to expand the clip, then just tap it off....

jeez dont butcher the damn thing, its rear brakes not rocket science.

thats what i do, keeps the clip in decent condition not all bent up
