REMOVING Ignition Key Cylinder? in an EK

How hard is it to remove?

its really fun you need a chisel, as when they install the bolts the head snaps off them . . . but once you get them out you can re install headed bolts

holy crap! that sucks........ does anyone know if i could use the Ignition Key Cylinder from another car?

do the harnesses match? from a EG or EF?

this topic is kinda sketchy because telling you how to do it would basically be telling you and everyone else how to steal or pop and ignition off on a civic to be stolen.

but whatever.
the ignition is held up by two bolts.
easiest way to remove it would be to solder or tag weld a bolt onto it and use its head to remove the screw.
the screw holding up isnt tight because the head snaps off on it therefore making it easier to loosen
