Removing Bushing: HELP

Removing Bushing: HELP
My right rear bushing is dead, I need to remove it. Should I take the control arm off to try and replace the bushing? or bang it out with it on the car. If not, what steps can I go about to remove the control arm to get the assembly out and into my garage so I can do the work.
Any help appreciated.

well according to sports compact car (the magazine) when they intalled a energy suspension master kit they had to cut and burn the old ones off ... and you need a press to get the new one on so I say take it off.

Anyone know any links on the net, or any articles on remove/reinstalling these bushings? Ive heard of banging them out with a hammer and socket. I'm just trying to get a feel of how hard a job this would be.

Doesn't sound like a DIY job.
In any case I'd tke it of and screw with it, not too crazy about the idea of banging on something really hard while your car is on jack stands.

I've seen this many a time on del sols.... we usually cut the shock fork clear off with a torch, then burn out the bushing, and then hack at the bolt... but since you actually wanna keep your stock shock.... your predicament becomes that much more difficult.... removing that arm along with the shock and taking it to a Honda dealer or some local jokel would be a good idea. It's only slightly harder to do.
