Removing Alternator
Hey I am currently about to remove an alternator for a 94 sedan. I don't know what engine it is but its defenitly not a VTEC. I was just looking at it quickly today I saw that once I unbolt the alternator there is no room/space to take it out. I looked from the top and there is not enough space to pull the alternator out and I looked at the bottom and it looks like its gonna hit the headder and doens't look like it will come out. Is there a special trick or sumthin to get it out?

unbolt master cylinder from booster and slide it out through there...no need to jack up the car, remove axles or none of that craziness...15min job!
this is how it is on 4th gens...should be basically the same on the 5th gen as the alternators are in almost the identical place and are the same basic part.

^^^ i did mine and its really tight but you do it thru the bottom,
take off the wheel and if its too tight just take off the suspension fork and pull down the suspension assembly.
but it will fit thru the space in the suspension

on my old Prelude, I had to remove an engine mount, drop the motor down low and pull it out from the top. it was either that, or pull the oil filter and go from the bottom, but I just had an oil change done.

i changed one in a ED hatch (91 si) and i did it by removing the master cylinder..... there was NO room through the bottom and we didnt want to mess with axles and crap..... it was very simple..... 2 bolts, push the MS to the side and viola, out comes the alternator... bolt the MS back up.... bleed the brakes a couple of times.... replace lost brake fluid (if necessary) and you are done

Well when i bleed my brakes, it involves jacking up the whole car, taking off the wheels. Then you start left front, right rear, right front, left rear. Repeat until desired pedal feel is achieved. This takes two people rather then one. Not difficult, but a fair bit of work.
It could be done with the wheels on i guess but...

u dont even need to bleed the brakes cuz the brake system is never open...I changed mine on the side of the road, hopped in a drove away and drove like that for 5 months until it got written off and my brakes were perfect the whole time...its funny all the extra work people like to do
