Recommendations for 01 Coupe SI short shifter

Which one and where to buy at a good price? Thanks!

I have a DC short shift adaptor adaptor in my 03 Civic. It's really not a "short shifter" like the Skunk2 in my 98 Civic, but it does shorten the throws, but not height or the shifter itself in anyway. It is basically a small piece that bolts to the shifter under the shift boot. The shifter cable attaches to it in a slightly higher location then it would normally on the shifter and thus shortening the shift throws. I got the DC used for $40, so it was worth it.

There is a company called Revo that makes an assembly that replaces the entire shifter, but it's pretty expensive at around $200 CDN and they are hard to get in Canada. If the Revo shifters were cheaper, I'd try one.

I have read that B&M is coming out with a unit similar to the Revo that replaces the shifter. There is another one made by Visoustech that is 2 adaptors. One for for-aft and the other for side-side. There is also a nice bushing kit available that makes the whole shifter assembly more solid. It uses metal instead of rubber for the mounting bushings.

Most people with 7thgens will tell you to get the Revo.

Most of the companies that sell the Revo won't ship to Canada. I've read on 7thgencivics that some users of the Revo reported the plastic breaking under stress. I'm going to get the B&M when they are avaiable in Canada. It replaces the important metal parts, not everything that's plastic.

Thanks for all the info guys. I bought and installed the solo unit today. I can't believe the difference. Well worth the money.

Not sure what difference those aluminum bushings will make. The shifter movement from 1-2 is not as smooth as from 2-3 or 3-4, do you think changing the bushings would help this or is something else causing that?

Because the entire shifter assembly is plastic and it is mounted to the car with rubber bushings, I think those metal ones are designed to stop some movement of the entire assembly. They are pretty cheap, so it's not a real big waste of money if you buy them and don't notice any difference.

I've been trying to get a TWM short shifter for a couple months now.
But I don't have my credit cards anymore...so I can't order one
