rear disk wheel bearing change

rear disk wheel bearing change

i have to change my drivers side rear wheel bearing and i have a 93 civic si with four wheel disk i was just wondering on what i would have to do to get the old hub off?

You first remove the wheel (thanks Captian Obvious ) and remove the disc caliper and hopefully your disc doesn't have the screws in them or at least, they aren't seized.

Use a 32mm socket with breaker bar (with extension if you need more torque) and that should loose up the hub. Try to hammer/flatten out that hammered-in metal piece on the 32mm bolt.

Put the new one on with proper torque spec. That should do the trick.

Most shops (with decent rates) should be able to do this job for less than 40 dollars. If, you find it time consuming or troublesom.
