rear bushings? 93 civic

rear bushings? 93 civic

any one know where i can find the rear control arm bushings cheaper then what the dealer wants 18.94 with tax

let me know i was just lowing it and snaped the bolt found out that the bult was rusted to shyt in the bushing and made the job horribale and expensive eaither way affried to touch the other side till i cna find new busshings cheaper

pick up the energy suspension kit for the rear lca... i think its like $30-40 for all 6

and another 5+ hrs & case of beer getting the old suckers out...

there is another post about the bushings, read it, its very informative, remember to use some antiseize on the new bolts you put in, and LUBE those bushings well!!!

kinda the same thing happened to me, had Cadsii come over to do my install. Bolt isn't seized, but its stuck between in the bushing so its turning but not coming out. Where can you get those kits?

its sezied

if its turning, its probably the whole inner collar thats broken free from the rubber support around it and the whole thing is turning

if its seized its probably cold welded from metal to metal contact over time.

only thing you can do is cut it out and put in a new bushing and bolt, its not that hard, maybe another 30 min job

your gonna have to cut the bushing on either side of the lower fork, then once the LCA is out, burn out the inner metal sleeve, then use a sawzall or metal coping saw and cut the sleeve out.

clean out the lca opening, lube up new bushing to put inside, and get a socket or press same size as new bushing and put it in
