really need help>>>>Please

it all started yesterday, when i came home i noticed that there was a knocking noise coming from my engine, upon further investigation the problem is my crankshaft drivebelt pulley is looose, it wobbles back and forth, so i tried tightening the screw thats in the centre of the pulley without success, it wouldnt budge either way. i tried moving the screw both ways for a good hour(and yes i did block the flywheel from spinning) so is there any other way to take that damm pulley off? Thanks in advance for anyone who can assist me on this. Oh and the helms manual i have was zero help.

markpa, like I said in the PM, there is only one way to do it...the bolt really should come out, and if it won't don't force it, but rather take it to someone with an impact wrench. Also, check the manual to see if maybe, just MAYBE it's a reverse-thead bolt... so instead of righty tighty, lefty loosy it COULD be backwards. You'll also prolly need a pulley puller. It's a strange thing to happen though.... very strange.
