RE: G35 exhaust compatible with Civics?

Hey guys, I was curious to know if I get a G35 muffler, is it possible to weld to civic and still make the same muffler sound of G35?

It would be greatly appreciate it if someone could tell me.

Thx.

actually it will make a similar sound since its the baffling in the OEM g35 and other 3.5 nissan mufflers...if u get an aftermarket muffler that doesnt have that OE baffling they sound completely different...I'm sure if space permits and u can get one on your civic it would sound similar not exactly the same (ur missing a bit of displacement and the firing order is different) but u'd get a nice sound

not only that, i believe the g35 has 2.5 inch exhaust, so if u want the sound closer, do a 2.5 inch system too since it will allow more flow from the exhaust and make it a bit deeper.

i actually wanted 2 put a crotch rocket exhaust on my car but havent found a used one for cheap yet

has anyone considered the fact that the g35 is a v6? it won't sound anything like a g35 with just the muffler, you will need the whole engine and exhaust system to get the same sound. now that would be a good swap. good luck with that.

aaron, i considered that too, and matt mentioned it, about the displacement, firing order etc, it might give it a decent tone tho if he does a 2.5 inch system on it with that muffler, no it wont sound exactly like it tho, also the g35 has dual mufflers as well
