rattling noise?
Hi guys
I was wondering if any of you may know what the cause of this could be.
I have a 2000 Civic automatic…and my car makes a rattling noise whenever it’s in gear. The noise isn't that loud but I can hear it whenever it’s in gear. The best times that I can hear it, is when there are no cars around. Whenever I go home late at night there's hardly any cars around, so when I'm waiting for the lights to change I can hear it.
I went to Honda and they said it was just the tubes that are connected to the engines so whenever it’s in gear it makes the noise??? Whatever that mean!!!
Some ppl say it could be the heat shield and you can just remove that and it’ll stop.
So I’m not too sure what’s causing this…does anyone know??
Thanks for the help!

there are too many things you're not stating, and it makes it hard to tell you where to look. basically, we can't help you unless you can help yourself.

damn esmond, that's a good interpretation of "was just the tubes that are connected to the engines"... I guess I don't speak 'woman'.
HAHA B, I'm married so I speak it.
IceRiver check the Y tube's connection to the Catalytic converter. After I changed my header, a different rattle occured and it was because the springs that held my cat to the header was worn.
