Radiator with Tranny cooler lines
 

I've got a Modine dual core rad which has tranny cooler fittings at the bottom.

I'm putting it into a 5-speed which doesn't need the lines.

What's the best way to plug these up? Weld (anyone kind enough to help me out? =P), plug, run a hose between them?

My replacement rad for my old 90 si came with that also, it had caps on the ends though. I would maybe try to cap them off, or get two small peices of hose, and silicon up one end of the hose, let it dry then put them on the fittings, and tie strap them in place.

Thats should hold and yet it removable.

My modine came like that, I donno if there were caps on the end or not but its not leaking anything.

the rads are used in both cars. the two fittings dont have anything in them unless used on an auomatic. They are for tranny fluid to go in there to use the coolant to cool it. its an oil cooler! you could pull the caps off or anything it wont matter. they are empty untill you put trans oil in there

Thanks for the reply Scott. That makes sense. Since there's no pressurized coolant going to those fittings, I guess I can get away with capping them loosely, removing them (they're threaded into the rad) or just leaving them as is.
