rad otions.
the stock half rad on an h22 doesn't cut the mustard on warm sunny days.. are there any rads (oem even) that can suffice? i'm thinking the integra full rads maybe... the key is that it isn't any thicker the whats in there now cause there is already space issues there now.
|
what car is this for ?
|
Is your rad the stock single core civic one? If it is you could try the thicker OEM honda rad(dual core I believe) or to an aftermarket aluminum rad if you have space issues.
|
for a 93 hatch.. dual core rad definately wont fit... unless i got a thin fan maybe but even then would the tight... the fan blades where cut a little to give the clutch slave space...
for a cost effective solution i figured an integra rad would be ideal... not much work to get it in... |
del Sol B16A3 rad perhaps??
And get a front mounted push fan rather than the OEM pull fan. |

i think those b16a3 rads are dual core?
FAL fan = sexy, no dealers even remotely near here though :notfair: the place that listed as a dealer in thunder bay doesn't even have rad fans listed anywhere on there site. |
integra rad is the same thickness as the one in there right now, so it would fit perfectly, just ruins any possibility of turbos though.
Maybe a better fan might be sufficient. |
a fan alone won't solve heat issues. I'm all for this upgrade, clearly you need more water capacity in the rad.
FAL fans can be had from summit racing (actually it's not too far from you, it's just outside of youngstown, OH. I was there a couple of months ago to pick up the harness. Drive down and pick it up, or order off ebay. there are lots of ebay FAL dealers I think?? |
i never even thought to check state side lol i'm gonna hit up some scrap yard and look for any integra rads.. see if any are decent... koyo rads for the integra are like $500
|
Check this one out..its dual core and a stock civic fan will bolt to it, 2inch core as well.
