I would think they're garbage. As what some people said, there isn't that much gain and I would assume it'll fall apart within months.
To be honest with you...anything Ractive is garbage. If you're looking for actual performance, then stay away from that stuff. Otherwise, you're just gonna run into problems and headaches.

There's nothing wrong with the Ractive headers! I think some of these ppl are talking out of thier ***! You don't get that much hp gain out of any header. You get some hp gains but not a huge amount!
Anyone that has put them down, have you seen these headers? They are nice and will surprise you at the quality! I hate having to say the same **** over and over, there's some nice stuff and some **** stuff! Give credit when credit is due! Geesh! You buy one crappy item and all of a sudden everything they make is crap!
Just remember a lot of this stuff is made by one company and others will put thier name on it. eg. APC

This is true....

But I would avoid Ractive stuff like the plague...

To many PERSONAL bad experiences...

Price point is good, quality of parts bad....

Ractive headers aren't that bad. Sure the welds might be a little sloppy, the brackets don't line up properly, and the flanges look plain. It doesn't cost $1500!
As long as the flanges don't warp on you in a day, your good.

Any decent tubular header will flow significantly better than the factory cast manifold... Even Ractive ones!

Do they make headers for the ZC? Last time I checked, you need a header off the 1st Gen Teg.

dave, what u will need to do when u get a headder is to have the top portion of the inlets enlarged to match up with the exhaust ports on the head. any machine shop could do this, or u could take a dremel urself and go happy with it. ractive headders are not that bad, they may not last that long maybe, but the port openings on them are quite large. even larger than litespeed and pacesetter. i personally will not shell out like 800 bucks for a DC stainless headder. a headder is a headder, it is exhaust. sure a good one may give u like 1hp gains over the ractive...but what is 1hp when u can save urself a few hundred and gain back that 1hp with the money u save.

yea it'll be much better. i founda 1st gen teg at the yard with the headder still in. if u want i can help u get it one day. or i can give u one of my si headers. either way i wouldnt be wasting my time on a stock header. if u are spending money for a header, might as well go for the real thing. a stainless ractive one is like 300...i got hookups, i can get it for u at around half price. let me know.
-Shaun
PS: i was not aware u are running a 1.5 header, that is silly

get the ractive header for the civic (Si DX same ****)

run it on the car for a couple of days

when you take it off the crabon will show you where you need to port it

if i can remember it's a bit to the drivers side on all 4 runners just a bit

take it from someone thats had it on the same motor and stop taking advice from people that don't know ****
