arent the y21 SIR tranny's identical in gear ratios to all usdm R trannys and 97 and below JDM R tranny's??

the JDM 98+ R trannys have the 4.785 final

so if you had an lsd R (without 4.785 final) and an lsd y21 (sir) there wouldnt be a big difference would there, same gear ratios and final, right???

the different in the trannies is that the R trannies come with double syncros which the SiR is only with single and without the LSD. The gearing are the same, except the 98 Spec final drive.

IMO do it right the first time and go with a 98+ JDM ITR trans with the LSD and 4.785 FD
