R-1 coilovers on Stock Shock?

HIhi PPPL!!!!
I am just wondering if I have a set of R-1 coilovers on my stock shock (95 Honda Civic DX), how would the ride quality be like if I drop it around 1.75":

a. When going though bumps
b. Rough roads
c. Holes

and what would the quality be like if I am driving on a normal road?

Thanks!!

haha dotn' do it just save up more and get shocks to go with it...dotn' get shitty cheapo coilovers get some h&r sports with soem agx's or tokico blues at minimum...don't listen to fools "yoyoyo I got those mad sic JDm R1 coilovers on a mad sic 3 inch drop mad handling yo" these tools shoudl be shot...anywho 2 inch will be hairy in the winter summer and sring seeing how you will be scraping every 2 seconds...and most of your suspension travel is gone....and dotn' get springs with stock shocks save and get seom nice shocks to go with it...do it right or dont' do it at all.........H&r sports woudl be your best bet for a nice spring....

scraping with 2"? are u sure ? u seem to take th e oppurtunity to pounce on anyone when they ask advice about suspension. 1.8" drop wont need new shocks right away, they will be good for a long while dependant on their current condition, and also whats wrong with using stock shocks until the person can afford new ones? Are you gonna really swap out your koni's for example for your stock shocks? NO, so why bother if the stock shocks are blown or good they will be replaced ne ways but not right away, yes the H&R is a nice spring and so is the Eibach, I have friends that have both and they are equal in ride quality

my front end is dropped 2.5" if not more.... and you just gotta learn to drive a lowered car thats all.... at first you'll scrape every now and again but you'll learn to drive so that you dont scrape... and you really dont need new shocks pending yours aren't already blown.... i'm on factory original shocks wiht 285 000 kms and i'm fine... lots of other people will say the same.... you will probably have a better ride with aftermarket shocks.... but if you want to lower your car and reap the benefits in handling then just go for it.... just be ready to get new shocks down the road.....

although if you aren't installing the springs your self you may want to look into doing shocks at the same time cause then your paying double labour.... but its honestly not that hard to do your own springs.... i did mine without any air tools

dont' ever compare yellows to stock shocks...if you can't notice a difference than that is sad....do it right the first time..I"ve been over this 1 thousand times stock shocks are not desgned to handle the spring rate or the lowering.... ...it's sad because most peopel on this site jsut want the sprigns right away jstu so they looked "lowered"...but then dotn' think about camber..which is gonna be shitty wiht more than 1.2-5 drop even then...then you gotta get it aligned with camber bolts...yada....think plan execute ..do it right the first time or dont' do it at all. Dont' you want a suspenion that actually improves performance, don't you want it to work efficiently..?? get H&R sports..1.5-6 inch drop an alignment and some agx's or koni reds....

what punk said its a gamble if you dont do your own work...its easy tho, worst case take it to a shop and ask them to crack all the bolts loose for you...shouldnt charge you more than 30 bucks
