Someone I know just recently told me that he had them installed on their car for 30 minutes, and he took them off immediately. Has this happened to anyone else, or does anyone have any good comments about their r-1 coilover install?

I have had them installed on my car for almost 2 years now. Been through 2 winters and have not seized up on me yet. *Knock on wood* I've had them dropped 2.5" or so on stock shocks when I first had them on and the ride was pretty stiff. I was alright with them, I sort of liked them stiffer. As winter came, I raised them up to a 1.5" drop with same stock shocks and ride I found was more bouncy. I've stayed with the same drop when spring came since I went through my tires in just that summer due to camber wear. I currently sit at about 1.8" drop with KYB-AGX and the ride is good I find. With the AGX, there is a big improvement over stocks, especially with the dampering adjustment. I can set them to stiffer setting and its great. So I have no problems with them. Just my advice is to keep oiling them up everytime you take your wheels. Just oiled them again today.
