Quick! Need help! Radiator problem...

Hey guys,
I'm currently replacing my rad, but i cant get it out. I'm using the helms manual, and i've disconnected the upper and lower hoses, the two brackets and res tank. After that, i tried to take it out, and BAM! its stuck. What else is holding it there? The helms manual only showed one fan, and it looks like theres two, or something else, sorry I'm kind of a n00b when it comes to this stuff. Thanks.

you may need to remove some of your a/c hardware/hoses/fan.

i got it all in, whats the worst that can happen if i say, added to much coolant?

imported_kickz 01-Aug-2006 03:55 PM

it just spills out the res bottle

MitchG 01-Aug-2006 04:48 PM

wont cause harm to the rad at all?

if too much maybe blow a hose?

did it not say how much in the owners manual?or helms?

... i belive honda magically put a fill line on your coolant res bottle
theres actually 2... one that says MIN and one that says MAX... dont fill it past the MAX... lmao

technically speaking my friend,
that res bottle will pick up overflow throughout your rad.

Its not a sealed line..
When the pressure builds to high in your rad, your pressure cap would blow off alowing over flow to go back into your res bottle.
If in fact you did over fill it and it exceeds the capacity of your res bottle it will over flow right out of the res bottle....

i say just keep an eye on it.
