I'm sitting a school on a rare break and was thinking about what my future plans are for my ride. I have a 4th gen w/D16Z6 and I am thinking of either swapping for a ZC DOHC or a turbo application for my engine now. Turbo would obviously be more $$ but more power as well. What I wanted to know is how reliable is a turbo setup (I know you get what you pay for!) but I'm saying if i bought a decent turbo kit would it make me problematic? what are the pro's and con's of a turbo app (beside not being able to run in All Motor, which at this point is a big con for me.) Hope this makes sense. Thanks

Built properly, a turbo engine that's maintained right will last as long as some n/a applications. Just look at all the OEM turbo cars...

just swap the motor because your current engine probobly has high km's....not to mention it will cost you alot of money for a good turbo setup ie. not a homemade setup with some good fuel and spark management. and you will get pounded on at the track because you will only be able to run like 7 psi on a stock d16. Swap in a zc it will be pepy and you can spray or turbo it and start with a better platform
