They are very easy to install, it's getting the shock off that proves to be difficult.

There should be set screws that are used to keep the sleeve in place on the shock. They will thread into the sleeve near the top, if I remember correctly there should be 12 short ones and 12 long ones. You will only use one set depending on the length needed.

There should be different size o-rings as well, these are used to keep the sleeve centered on the shock. When you have the shock off you need to slide the proper size o-ring onto the shock at 3 points then slide the sleeve over the shock and o-rings and tighten the set screws.

There should also be a liitle number stuck to each spring like 350,450 etc. this indicates which springs go in the front and rear. I can't remember at this point which is which but pm Bill and ask him.

I did this install on my car so if you need any further assistance just ask.

yeah to take off the spring, you have to compress it, the springs are preloaded on teh shock, and if you don't take it off properly i heard it can kill, because of the load that it already has.
if you have a compressor than you'll definitely have a easier time..

i could be wrong about the spring load, but if i remember correctly that is true....

why is getting the shock off difficult
depending on how old your car is the rear bushing bolts could be siezed, also you need to use an allen key and a wrench on the top of the shock once you have the spring compressed. Sometimes the allen key threads will round off before the nut becomes loose.

When I put the coilovers on my car I was putting new shocks so I ended up cutting the nut on the top of the shock off.

If I had the choice again I would pay a shop to do it. It's not worth the hassle imo.:working:

Thumbs up

heads up silver this is a simple install When taking of the old springs and stuff you don't need a sping compressor! You have aftermarket eibach springs, you only use the spring compressor on stock springs And i hope you only want to know this because you want to sell you eibach springs and you wish to take them of the stock shocks. If i were you i would leave them on with the stock shocks and let some else worry about taking it apart (the buyer). I also hope you're not planning on putting those coilovers on your stock shock, that's a big no-no!! Anyway if i were you i would look around for shocks to mount the coilovers on. After all these people that bought these coilovers i think there will be a group buy on shocks, only an idiot would put these coilovers on their stock shocks I hope we get a group buy on kyb agx adjustables that will be the best bang for the buck for a aftermarket shock. When spring rolls around in probably late feb or march i'll give you a hand with that it a lot easier than people think, you have to learn to work on your own car. Than the thing will break down on you and you'll be a stranded duck without a mechanic. So it's all good well get them on. by the way 450 and 350 is the spring rate, (stiffness) 450 go in the front and 350 go in the back
