question about Magnaflow mufflers

Are the stock looking Magnaflow mufflers the only ones that are quiet? All their other ones look like they would be pretty loud. Most of them have 4" tips! Anyways I am planning on replacing my canister style exhaust with a stainless steel magnaflow muffler (most likely a stock looking one) I want it to be not much louder than stock and decently free flowing. I have 2.25" piping so should I just go for a muffler with a 2.25" inlet/outlet?

I have one with a 4in tip and its not all that loud. I would recommend to anyone. But you are right, most of them are 4in tips. And if you have 2.25 piping why wouldnt you get the 2.25 inlet?

magnaflow are pretty loud but not high pitched loud...they sound pretty nice, thats what I had on my previous car...I wouldnt put a loud exhaust again...whatever is on my car now sounds mellow and doesnt resonate through the car when I'm on the highway...I like it alot

That one that looks stock is pretty nice. It is quiet when driving normal, but when you punch it you can hear it. My buddy has one and he likes it...it has an oval canister too, so no scraping on the ground
