Q: Suspension Kits

Advise needed;

I just purchased a '97 4dr Civic, I just joined TCC, and now im getting ready to have some fun... Upgrading my suspension is the first mod I feel thats needs to be done to get this project started. Im going for a fully adj. kit so I may lower, raise, harden, or soften my ride anytime I please. EIBACH have a PRO-STREET kit w/ all the adjs. for $800 SHIPPED to my work (Canadian Tire).

I was wondering if any1 has this kit or something like it? Pros and cons? and what should I be looking out for when getting fully adj. suspenion bcuz im gonna be driving this car all year-round?

Thanks in advance

Suspension is a good start. That price range seems decent for starter. Once you set the car in the right height, you will rarely play with it again. But dempening adjustment is always a good thing.

PIC suspension kit is only $200 more, $1000 +shipping (not bad) If reviews are great and proven I just might go ahead with them. I would still like to know about these Eibach kits tho, ANY1?

Also.... Spring rates?? Does each kit have diff. spring rates? if so what are you guys running?

If you aren't going to track events, just day to day driving, you don't need to go above 10K, which is roughly 560lbs.

PIC coilovers with spring rates of 10/12 for street or 12/14 for track or autox . costs only 800-1000+tax and available locally if you wanna save shipping costs...

if you wanna go nuts, you can special order the 14k/18k spring rate.

if you got the cash...get TIEN.. their probably the best system you can get...its all one peice and it has a easy way to adjust the dampin..

ive tried Skunk2 coilovers with AGX and a few other coilover but the ride becomes a lot more ruffer..but the handling is awsome..

a few friends of mine have TIENs are the ride is good and they can adjust it very easy as it has a remote box to change everything.

Ha ha... Knowing me I will take this thing to the track events! Even tho its a 4 door. Its just worth the experiance. If I do get serious about track events then I will just put on some thicker sway bars and things should be fine. Thats further down the road tho...

Anyways Im really leaning towards the PIC suspension kit. Their fully adj. height and dampening with 12kF/10kR. Online they go for $760 U.S + $50 shipping (Stupid shipping! ) Good way to go, right?

Any1 know where this "local" place is, that nrg3k speaks of? Its time to search for some prices

i think you are talking about the eibach pro-kit s

http://eibach.com/cgi-bin/htmlos.exe/09267.2.1962115237800017240

the other pro-kit is just height adjustable... i would get Tein s techs with EDFC.

these are like race coilovers the same as the PIC or Meagan racing ones... the PIC are a good price, but its the whole damper adjustability and etc... i thinik the next level up have adj dampers...

S. Techs are springs not a coil over package. I should know, I have them on my 4 door. I think you mean perhaps Tein Super Street perhaps?

In any case, for daily driving, a good adjustable shock and spring is fine. But if your serious about getting a coilover package I'd probably getting Tein's Basic or Super Street or P.I.C.

I will surely keep that in mind. When its lowered during spring time im gonna see how far positive the factory adjustments can go for camber (if there is any). If its way, way off ill by the camber kit.
