PSI info

Hey,

I have a PSI guage under my hood and I am wondering what it does.

I hear it is for fuel pressure.

thanks

that air noise you hear would just be the noise of your intake... a turbo would be loud and obvious if it was a decent size... and what psi does the gauge go up to? if its like 60psi it is more than likely a fuel pressure regulator

it is more than likely a fuel pressure gauge. it would be a vacuum gauge if it was connected to your intake manifold but that would be a waste of time to have under your hood. it is probably mounted on your fuel rail.

No lie...

Sorry I cant pop the hood of a car and know everything like Jesse in Fast and the Furious.

The guage goes up to 100 PSI

could be the intake

Ex: I am driving in first gear... after 3000rpm you hear a vacuume type sound (is that the vtec?)... I let go of the gas... push down the clutch...change gears at 4000rpm into second gear... foot hits the gas again... and you hear the sound right when you push the gas...

Here's a better example... it sounds very similar to the sound the first civic makes when it over take's the truck in the beginning of Fast in the Furious.

im still boggeled on what that gauge could be though my guess is fuel pressure regulator
