proportioning valve

proportioning valve

hi guys
i just picked up a used proportioning valve and it seems as though the brake lines were cut from the prop vavle. how will this effect my installing this for my rear disc conversion?
I can send pics if it will help me out

just take off all the brake lines by unscrweing them with a line wrench... then screw in your existing lines!

i don't have a line wrench...any other way to do this?

Used the closed end (boxend as it's called) of your normal wrench to take them off as your not going to use the pieces of line anyhow.

To put the P-valve on, you can use a normal wrench but you have to be extra cafeful about not slipping and rounding off the flats of the flare nut.

If I were you I'd go to CT or a similar store and pick up some line wrenches, using the correct tools elminates a TON of headaches and aggravation.

The wrenches should be good enough for what your going to do, and should be reasonably priced.

totally invest in LINE wrenches... crastsman and motomaster pro are decent ones for low cost.

i'm having the conversion done at a shop..will they have line wrenches there or not?
