Problem starting the car!

When the car hasn't been driven for a little while, the car has problems starting from time to time. When I turn the key the first notch the radio always goes on, but sometimes when I turn it all the way
to start the car it doesn't do anything. The car doesn't even make a sound.

Sometimes I would have to turn it two or three times for it to actually start.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

check to make sure all if the grounds are tight, check both terminals on the battery, check all fuses.

not to mention check your ignition switch after you've checked all of the above.

Try leaving the key in accessory mode for a few seconds before starting to prime the fuel pump and build some oil pressure. These are measures you need to take when the car hasn't been driven for a while. If the car is turning over after a few cranks I don't think its the battery.

the car will NOT build oil pressure until the engine has turned over. The oil pump is driven by the crankshaft, so until that engine has turned over oil is NOT being pumped.
