to stay on topic though your better to get a gsr and spend the extra money you saved on not getting a type r get new some engine mods....
unless you plan on endurance racing the car in which case the type r engine is already well designed for that

Only advantage to a gsr swap is if you don't have the $$ up front, or if you see a big turbocharger or nitrous kit in your future.

ya but swapign it into a obd 1 = more work yada yada it is definalty $2000 if not mroe for the install where as you can get a obd 1 gsr yada yada bobs your uncle...and you can get a gsr lsd tranny which still has good gearing for na or fi

I think it was totally valid ... because you asked what motor to get and I simply stated what you should do ... thats advice there isn't it ?
