get a integra type r exhaust it will flwo real nice and be quiet...there is one for sale on TSR......or go to a honda dealership and ask for a type r muffler......then get 2 1/4 piping to ge wiht it...then your set...good sleeper exhaust, it is what alto of people are switchign to because of the bait factor of a loud honduh

Go to Crappy Tire and get the Dynamax muffler for your car.

ie.....when I bought the one that used to be on my old car (5th gen hb).....it cost $109+tax......it even came with the pipe to make it an axle back. (came with 'U" clamps too).

I think they cost around $120 now.

Cops never bothered me, because it was a factotry replacement performance muffler.

It has a lower tone than the stock one, and much nicer sound imo.

And when you romp on it, it has a really nice sound to it......not loud and anoying like some mufflers. Oh yeah, I think they also come with a lifetime warranty.

It's not as pretty as those shiny ones, but at least the cops will leave you alone.

(and it fit right the first time....no mods needed)

Oh yeah....Speedy also carries them too.

(Opps, typo.....Dynomax)

http://www.dynomax.com/

That site has a page sound clips for what it would sound like on different cars.........I haven't been there for a while, so I don't know if the sound clips still work.

There are a few different options depending on what you want.

I recently just purchased a Honda approved muffler for my car and will be welding an aftermarket tip to it. The muffler was purchased from a Honda dealer for less than $100, is direct bolt up and allows you to pick your own tip.

If you want to go the custom route I would suggest purchasing a Type R muffler from Japan. I saw one 2 weeks ago and it was stainless steel with a nice tip to it. This muffler would have to have the axle-back pipping custom made because of the difference in piping diameter.

Now if you were willing to spend a little bit more in $ then it would pay to be a member. I know that there is a DC Sport cat back exhaust for sale that they want to get rid of at an amazing price. This is great looking exhuast.

Is custom piping a MUST if buying a universal muffler? I mean, can it not weld properly or something if there is no custom piping? or could they just weld it to the stock...

I was just looking at the link and the mufflers don't seem too bad. Maybe I might pick up one to replace my current noise can. They come in specific axleback units as well, right?

Well i had made my decision, well my dad did after he ripped the tailpipe off my car... lol, i just had a muffler with a big hole in it...
WOW very very LOUD...

but he had 2 dynomax mufflers laying around his shop which he had swapped off of a GTP, so i'm in testin processes of a dynomax muffler, and oh man do i love it...

just what i need, its very quite, but makes a nice noise when at WOT, almost quiter then stock muffler...
