I bought a quart of "TECH 200 power steering fluid" from walmart.

I opened the bottle and its yellow/brown, just like brake fluid or engine oil!

I always thought steering fluid was/is red!?!?

Is this weird or what?

Anyone know if power steering can come in this color?

probably just a different color of dye was added to it to add that "tech" feel to it

ATF can also be used for power steering, in most cases. Its red.

Most PS fluid is clear...

Check you Haynes manual and it sould say what you can use....

ATF is also ALOT cheeper too.

I guess I was wrong...

In the over 10 cars my family has had so far... Its always only been red! Weird.

i always put ATF " automatic transmission fluid" for my power steering... way cheaper

ATF is red so if u see red in the power steering fluid that means u got ATF fluid in there.
