Power Gains

Power Gains
Hey everyone I have a set of CTR cams that I want to install on my B16...My question is what kind of power gains would I get.....I have a DC 4-1 header, AEM cold air, and an ITR exhaust....thanx

depends on tuning but fully dailed and vafc tuned I'd say 6-10 whp maybe more all depends...but not that much...shoudl have got more aggresive cams...that exhaust is nice and sleeper of you but will be holding the power back slightly...yoru header choice is a decent one...proven to be a good all motor platform...it's the 2.5 collector I hope...but a full 2.5 loud fart can exhaust would help abit on power with those more aggressive cams...but noone likes a rice boy exhaust so...

I highly recomment, the complete valve train, or upgraded valve train with using those cams.
the b16b (CTR) is a Rev happier engine than the b16, so if you want to take full advantage of the cams install some beefier springs/retainers/etc..
this will allow for higher RPM and higher output from those cams..

there is no point reving past 82-8500 rpm...stock rev limit is fine...they dont' make power that high...stock valve train is fine with stock rev limit which there is no real need to raise..fuel cut on b16b is 8600 rpm's and the cams woudl not make power all the way to 8600 so...

if the B16B makes no power past 8000/8200 why did honda put the rev limit to 9000 rpms?
and if you would like to see some CTR motors reving and making power to 9000 ill send some dyno sheets..
b16B is very REV happy

fuel cut is 8600 rpm's....these cams will not make power past that....and the cams dont' make power all the way up to that clearly you know nothing of cams...even stage 1's have no point to reving past 8600 and they are way more aggressive that ctr's....to rev to and past 9000 your looking at jun 3's toda c's yada yada....stock rev limit with ctr's

Hmmm.......all cams that I have come across have a data sheet with them. It lets you know from the manufaturer what kind of action you can expect from there product. what the rpm range on them is, etc. did you get one of those. If so, what does it say the cams are good too?!?! As for the engine reving high, sure maybe you won't get much out of them at highher rpms, but like red90dx said, if you start doing the other parts with them (so no vlave float) you can take that engine way up and make mean power still up top.
