popping/clicking sound??

ok i did a swap a while back and ever since the swap (zc) there is a noise comming from the drivers side front. i dunno what it is. its like a popping or clicking sound. it happens when i go to change gears (or changing the speed drastically). or going oven bumps. i've heard a popping sound could be the rack is gone. i dunno but its really starting to annoye me. could it be the axel... ppl tell me that if it doesnt make a noise when i turn that it isnt the axel. anyone know what this sound could be. oh and when i got my mechanic friend in the car, of course it didnt make a sound. lol

Well more then likely its the drive axle... If you get under you car you might see the rubber drive axle boot is torn or ripped but doesn't necesarily mean it was to ripped for the axle to be bad. Try making a u turn both ways or any kind of sharp turn for that matter. If its only the driver side popping then it will only make that noise if your turning in a specific direction.
