my friend blew his gsr top end..and is now hunting for a different top end.. has anyone ever dropped a b16 head on a gsr?..what kind of power gains are noticed? any info would be great..thanks

it's a common build... B16 > B18 head. Talk to Steve Leitner about building a good engine for his needs.

why though .... there is no benifit there (in my opinion) to get the b18c1 head you'll probably have to buy the complete engine at which time it's just better to drop that in because there is no replacement for displacement

well one reason I could think of is is possibly getting better flow once the B18C head is ported :p

apparently it seems to be a good combo with the turbo... I know b18a is LS not GSR but its the same idea...not sure of the reasoning behind it why they chose the b16 head instead of the GSR head... but it seems to work well with the turbo...must make less compression... but n/a you would want the opposite... I guess it depends on what he has planned for it...

Dyno test b18a b16a head 640.0 Hp and 457.8 Lbs. of torque at the wheels, 26 PSI of boost.
