Plug gap question about Platinum tips
"Do not adjust the gap of platinum tipped plugs, replace if out of spec?
Just read my helms and it mentioned this? Does that mean don't adjust the tip after they have been used and your inspecting them in the car, or does that apply to brand new plugs as well, since my new NGK G-Power plugs needed a larger gap to be within spec after i checked them out after opening the package.

Who care's if there recomended?. There recomended because of Longevity. Platinum is Garbage. Horrible material for plug's since they don't heat up or conduct as good. Poor winter start-up's that are rough on your engine. Garbage. Copper is bad ***, Iridium is even more bad *** if you can afford it. **** platinum's. Id never put them in any engine.
